Parks for London - New Executive Director

We are very pleased that after an external recruitment process Ed Stannard has been offered the role of Executive Director of Parks for London, replacing Tony Leach from 1st September 2024.

Having spent the past three years as the charity’s Development Officer, building relationships with our supporters, partners, and the wider green space sector, Ed is honoured to take up this new position and excited to lead the organisation into its next phase of development.

Tony stepped down from his role as Chief Executive at the end of August, having been instrumental in the charity’s inception and establishing our place in the sector. Whilst we are sad to see Tony go, we look forward to celebrating his service and dedication to our sector at a suitable time the autumn.

Ed said “I look forward to building on the great foundations in place here and continuing to work with you as we look to ensure that London has a well-resourced network of high quality, thriving, safe, innovative and stimulating parks and open spaces that are inclusive and accessible to all.”

We thank Tony for all his amazing work and wish Ed well in his new role.
